Triclops Bodyguard is the premier product in the field of Press Brake safety and productivity.
- Triclops
Bodyguard safeguards a press brake by projecting a very large area laser safety barrier
around the press brake blade. Any objects entering the area of the safety
barrier are analysed and if objects are not recognised then the
blade is stopped and the operator warned. If the object is
recognised the blade is controlled according to the perceived danger
associated with the material being bent and the bending action being performed.

Triclops Personal
Assistant works by continually trying to drive the blade to the pinch
point. When a piece of material is placed onto the anvil Triclops
drives the blade towards the material, when the material is in a
position that allow the whole blade to be observed, then safety can be
assured and Triclops drives the blade down so it stops just above the
material. After the bend, Triclops automatically retracts the blade and keeps it clear of the material.

seamlessly together to provide the highest level of productivity and
safety.
Triclops BodyGuard features:- Easy setup and installation
- Can be fitted to virtually any press, downstrokers, upstrokers, open or closed end, mechanical or hydraulic
- Fully self calibrating (calibrates itself to new blade heights, just point in the right direction)
- Fully adjustable (push a button and slide out of the way or to a new height)
- Analyses material and anvil to ensure laser is in alignment**
- Analyses images to ensure camera is in alignment**
- Memorises material bends and warns the operator* if a new object such as fingers are observed**
- No mute point**, continues providing safety throughout the bending
process. Looks for actions inconsistent with bending and
conditionally stops the blade*
- Increased productivity with the worlds first auto approach system**
- Very large image area 80mm (3.1 in) wide by 70mm (2.7 in) high
- Fine resolution of approx. 1mm (40mil) - [accuracy approx. +/-3mm (120mil)]
- Fast reaction time (0ms by using interpolation)
- Automatically
retracts to allow material to be removed after bend, recognises new
material on anvil and then drives blade to pinch point (requires
operator to activate deadman switch or footswitch)
*These two features work together to protect against the most common causes of finger entrapment

automated Triclops features are expected to reduce accidents
with photo-electric guarded press brakes by more than 70%. See

Extended Triclops BodyGuard features:
- Fully scalable for very large press brakes, sheet metal curlers or
power presses, up to a very very large area of 254mm (10in) wide by
230mm (9in) high with approx. 3mm (120mil) resolution - even larger
will be available when needed
- Premium
device has motorised height adjustment and fully automatic alignment of
laser beam (once installed, no operator adjustments required)
- Automatically retracts and safely approaches pinch point for timed period after
footswitch released (dependent on relavent standards and safety
authority approval, this may require additional safety guarding)
